Wondering what rescue pup extraordinaire ‘Pikelet’ has to say about Rose-Hip Vital Canine?

“Okay friends I have a hot health & wellbeing tip for all you conscientious pup owners. The product Rose-Hip Vital Canine is a joint health + general wellbeing powder made from 100% pure & natural ingredients (Rosehip). In our household me & my pup siblings consist of the following:

Shelly Shoe is my 16 (going on 17) year oldest Spinster Sister. Shelly has many lumps & bumps (showing signs of her old age) though she is still is fairly good health and condition.

Betty Boo is my 13-14 year old three legged Spinster Sister. Betty lost her front left leg in a terrible car accident when she was about 1-2 years old. She has been a #tripaw most of her life now and even though she is getting on in age she has yet to show any signs of arthritis or other joint problems.

Patty Cakes is my dorky big-younger pup brother (as you probably already know). Patty is just a little over 9 months of age. With mostly white colouring and short fur, Patty has typical skin issues that many fair complexion dogs have including allergies and irritations from everyday things like grass, sand, and foster ducklings.

This is me, Piklet (aka Pikey, Punkinator)

Myself. I’m nearing my 3rd Gotcha Day (4th of July) which would make me about 3.28767824 years old (approx). When I was rescued I had a condition called ‘Rickets’ which left me with slightly deformed front legs and a slight curved spine. It is almost a given that I will suffer from arthritis at some point and most likely earlier rather than later.

I give you all of the above info so that you can understand my rents reasonings for wanting to find a little extra something to add to our family diet to help improve and maintain a good balance of health. They had heard good things about the family owned business that supplies this product so below is kinda our review:

Since adding Rose Hip Vital Canine powder to our dinner meals, in just a few short weeks my rents have noticed the following
– All of our coats are looking both shinier and noticeably more vibrant. Ma says my fur in particular looks shinier and deeper red #gingerninja
– I’m not licking my front paw joints (Pa calls them my wrists but Ma isn’t sure dogs have wrists) as much as I use to when they were starting to feel a long day’s ache.
– Patty’s skin has not had any new flare ups or rashes and his pink bits haven’t looked inflamed like they sometimes do.
– Betty seems a little brighter and a little more active (but she still acts like a cat so this is only just slightly noticeable).
– We are all still enjoying our meals. This is a pretty BIG thing as believe it or not we are all very fussy eaters in this household and no amount of trickery will get us eating anything that tastes like crud.

So! If any of the above resinates with you and you feel your pup could do with a little health boost then my rents highly recommend you give #RoseHipVitalCanine a good go! For us, this is staying as part of our on going diet. All thumbs and paws up with our tick of approval!

Even the Punkinator gets in there for a taste of the magic orange powder (zooms do usually follow in the minutes after) ;)”

* Just a note that this is not a paid advert, not even in the slightest. This is a product that my rents had been meaning to trial us on for ages and have done so over the past few weeks *

Fifteen and a half year old Mango knows where to find the best spots for a snooze. Fresh from her morning exercise where she checks out the smells in the paddock Mango wants you all to know that she is looking and feeling younger every day thanks to her daily dose of Rose-Hip Vital Canine. On arrival Mango had a large growth on her tail which GRR decided, given Mango’s age, we would just keep an eye on and see what happened. Amazingly, after three months the lump began to decrease in size until all that remains today is a patch of skin on Mango’s tail where the hair is beginning to grow. From a quiet girl who just pottered around, this girl is so cheeky these days that she stands at the window where she can see the dogs’ meals being prepared and barks non-stop until she can see Wendy heading outside with the bowls.

Every dog at GRR HQ receives a daily dose of RHV and the neighbours are noticing the change in the dogs as well, resulting in them putting their dogs on RHV. One neighbour advised that Morris, a very elderly, arthritic, Labrador who was pottering around and not interested in life is now out and about with the other dogs on their morning exercise with a spring in his step.

A couple of months ago Rose-Hip Vital Canine very kindly sent us 3 tubs of their Rose-hip powder to try. I promised to let everyone know how the bubs were doing on it and if we’d seen any improvements. Well, yes, we have. The most noticeable has been our little Pepper. Pepper is a permanent resident here, she’s a 13 year old Chinese Crested and was diagnosed with advanced kidney disease not long after she came to live here about four years ago.

About 4 weeks after starting the Rose-hip powder we noticed that this shy, elderly, often reticent little girl seemed to be reinventing herself. As the weeks passed, Pepper started acting more like a puppy, play bowing, trotting rather than walking, asking for cuddles, doing silly dances, greeting visitors like she hadn’t seen them for years and generally blossoming into a more confident, playful, happy and silly girl. Her transformation was so obvious, I even decided to trim her hair into a ‘puppy cut’ to match her new personality.

The other dogs have also had improvements, however we also transitioned to Black Hawk fish and potato dry food around the same time, so we can’t say ‘for sure’ that the improvements in general health and better skin condition are attributed to one or a combination of both products. Pepper, however, hasn’t had any changes to her diet, she’s on a pretty strict regimen to make sure that her kidneys are in tip top condition. The only addition in recent months has been the Rose-hip powder. Many thanks to the Rose-hip Vital Canine.

Jacky K – Busselton Greyhound Awareness

Thought you might like to know about this beautiful girl Juniper, she had been adopted out by Busselton Greyhound Awareness in March 2017 to Jilllian and her young son, a lovely lady who is a trainee nurse, sadly 19 days after adoption she had to have her hind leg amputated caused by a bizarre accident whilst doing Greyhound zoomies in the back yard.

Her beautiful owner although having only had her 19 days had grown to love her so much in that time she decided to fight for her and have her leg amputated, the easy option would have been to obviously have her euthanised. As she certainly hadn’t factored  in the cost of an operation of that enormity when she decided to rescue a Greyhound.

Bizarrely the week before Jillian took her, Juniper was on her way to the vets to be euthanised because she had been disqualified from racing for 12 months for marring, she obviously didn’t like racing for her life. Juniper is extremely lucky to have been adopted by such a caring family.

Juniper has recovered so well and is now back to her normal happy self playing and enjoying walks on the beach.

Last week Junni went in for her Green collar assessment and passed so she is now muzzle free.

For a dog that has literally been at deaths door twice she now has a loving bright  future to look forward to.

Part of that future involves keeping her other limbs mobile especially her one good hip, so she will be on Rose Hip Vital Canine for the rest of her life.

Sceptically, I decided to give your Rose-Hip Vital Canine a go….it was worth a try, as she gives us nothing but love. Well, can I say just how impressed we are after just 2 to 3 weeks of adding this magical orange powder to her dinner each night…she now is getting a soft flowing bend to her tail and is running more freely around the yard We thought she was resigned to having a stiff tail forever…how wrong were we !! Thank you for all the Facebook Ads, so glad we purchased the 500gm tub. Definitely will be a returning customer !!!
Thank you again & Aunty Belle thanks you too!

We adopted Aria a staffy x Labrador from a rescue center after fostering her for a month or so, we just couldn’t let this chunky clumsy gorgeous 4 month old pup leave us.

Coming up to her first birthday we noticed she had started to slow up a bit she didn’t want to play as much and was walking with a little bit of a limp in her back legs.

Dad took her off to the Vets who gave us some anti inflammatories and told us to rest up a bit. We did and things improved. A few weeks later down the dog park after a big play as staffy do….. we noticed she had stopped putting any weight on her left hind leg, being a staffy she didn’t let this bother her no yelps in pain, she still wanted to play. Again this lead to another trip to the Vets, sedation X-rays and examinations later she had been diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia……… she isn’t even one…… this broke our hearts but unfortunately with rescue pups these are things you have to deal with.

Vet suggested a course or steroid injections, change her food over to a prescription mobility one and no more playing at the dog park, chasing balls etc…. after a while this seemed to help her and things eased up a bit but we still noticed getting up she was stiff.

I saw rose hip though a Facebook page I follow and looked into it.  I wanted my silly, boisterous hyperactive puppy back and thought I would give this a try, what did she have to loose…

Just over a month in and we have noticed such a huge difference in her, she is no longer struggling to get up off her bed or jumping onto the sofa, even had a few little ball games down the park…. no stiffness, no limping we even noticed a difference in her coat and skin…. this stuff is magic!!!!  We finally have our puppy back, she will be celebrating her 2nd birthday in a couple weeks no doubt we will have more issues to overcome as she gets older with arthritis etc…. but thanks to you guys it will be so much easier.

Thank you guys so much you have honestly made such a difference to our little family!

I just wanted to thank you for your product. My 2 year old Rottweiler Liberty has hip dysplacia and we have started her on Rose-Hip Vital Canine. I had asked a question to you in regards to still giving her glucosomine with it. Well we had just finished the 3 week starting period only a week ago and we have now seen Liberty jumping in the air. She has never done this before! Even as a puppy!

I was amazed and we had always been giving her glucosomine for her hip and fish oils since she was 9 months old. As the cooler weather is upon us she had started to whimper when getting up off the ground.. I haven’t heard her do this since we started Rose Hip Vital. Thank you so much. We rescued Liberty as she was due to be euthanised at 10 weeks of age, Liberty is young and deserves to be able to enjoy her life to the fullest. with Rose-Hip Vital Canine, we can achieve this now.

Thank you for the very generous donation of product we received a couple of weeks ago. I have just reordered and given Hope has just completed three weeks of her loading dose I am excited to see if the coming weeks bring positive change for her. Hope arrived from Hawkesbury Pound and could barely stand let alone walk! We obviously took her to the vet and whilst she was pain medicated we looked for other options to improve her quality of life.

Hope had a terrible coat, weepy eyes, ear infections and the list goes on! Three weeks on she is much brighter and more active. Hope is an old dog so we don’t expect miracles but she is certainly much improved from when she arrived (see attached pictures) We will be sure to be in touch over the coming weeks with any news on her progress.

Sweet Shepherd Rescue

Harriet came to us on 18th October from Renbury Farm Animal Shelter in NSW. Photos from the pound showed a particular sadness and reports from rescue workers visiting her in the days prior to her release said she was in bad shape and that she seemed to have just given up and was fading fast. At first we were told that she was not strong enough to make the trip to Victoria, but as her mandatory holding period passed, receiving regular meals at Renbury and some extra attention by rescue volunteers, the Renbury staff cleared her to come to us. We were very excited as we rounded up an experienced rescue dream team – including Sweet Shepherd Rescue, Rainy Day Special Needs Rescue and Robyn of GRS Grooming, to meet her at the depot, assess her and get her bathed and fine tune our rescue plan.

She was so severely underweight, all her ribs and vertebrae showed through patchy fur – much of her thin, raw and scaly skin showing through in wide patches, especially across her hindquarters and chest. Her ears were fly-bitten so badly as to be misshapen at the tips. But always, there were these meltingly soulful eyes that seemed to understand that we were doing our best to help her as she suffered the many indignities and discomforts of being examined and bathed, including having her backside shaved.

Bringing her home, I did not bother with introductions to the family or the other dogs, but had set her up in a quiet, dark room so she could rest and recover from the whole ordeal. It didn’t take her long, by the second day, she was up and curious about her surroundings and wanted to explore, so we set her up in an area near the fireplace in the lounge room so that she could watch all the going on in the house. Day 3 was a sunny day, and she spent most of it snuggled up in blankets on a sunny spot on the front verandah watching the world go by, and I was lucky enough to snap a photo of her getting up to greet Mr. Rainy Day at the gate, with a little wag of the tail

. Her enthusiasm and cheerful nature was always going to be bigger than her strength at first, but through thoughtful nutrition, small frequent meals and brief but frequent walks, we had a chance at giving her back the health that would carry all that personality around with ease. Part of this diet planning included high quality natural supplements, not only to provide vital nutrients but also to build immunity and support joint health which is so important, especially in Harriet’s case, as she is a grand old lady of 13, a large breed, and her old tired bones and joints were going to need all the help they could get as she gained weight. We were especially delighted to be able to include Rose Hip Vital Canine in Harriet’s supplementation regime.

Within three weeks, you can see for yourself how she is coming along… her eyes are bright, and she’s eagerly exploring her new life and the world around her, and enjoying car rides and trips to the countryside and walks to the river and chasing ducks. Such a sweet nature she has, and has little licks and kisses for everyone, and invites you to pat her fur which is growing back lush and soft. People who follow Harriet’s progress on Facebook often comment how different she looks — that she looks like a different dog — but we know that’s the dog that matched those eyes we first saw peering just past us from Jo Lyon’s lens… she is already showing us the dog she has always meant to be, and we think her future looks bright.

Thank you for helping Harriet’s journey rose hip vital canine xx

We have been trialling Rose-Hip Vital Canine for almost four months with a select group of Golden Retrievers in our organizations care. Included in this group were dogs aged between 3 and 13 years of age medically diagnosed with varying degrees of joint pain in the hips, elbows or knees, including one four year old dog with hip dysplasia that also required ACL reparative surgery.

Prior to learning about Rose-Hip Vital Canine we had over the course of ten years tried almost every well-known joint support supplement and conventional drug therapy available to manage the progression and pain of bone and joint conditions seen in some of the dogs coming into our care, and we can say with absolute confidence that Rose-Hip Vital Canine has achieved remarkably faster and significantly better results than any other product we have used, with noticeable improvement in mobility, vitality, sociability, play drive and even eye, skin and coat health. We also noticed a quicker recovery of a dog that underwent ACL surgery compared to previous ACL surgeries carried out. Once the group were transitioned down to the maintenance dose of Rose-Hip Vital Canine we were elated to see continuity in these positive results.

For Golden Ark Rescue and our Goldies the benefits of Rose-Hip Vital Canine have been tenfold, and its effectiveness has enabled us to find an alternative to shellfish based and or glucosamine and chondroitin products. Being a natural product as well RHVC enables us to follow a completely natural and effective joint support and pain management plan without fear of the unwelcome side effects that come with long term conventional drug therapy. RHVC definitely gets the thumbs up from us and as firm believers in adopting preventative measures we also highly recommend introducing RHVC to dogs during early puppyhood, then continuing it through their adult and senior years. Thanks again for a simply wonderful, natural and effective product. Regards, Golden Ark Rescue (Aust) Inc.

We have a little Maltese Rescue girl “Nina Lily” who is the sister to the famous RWL rescue girl… ‘Poppy Rose & Friends’ “Lily” now “Nina Lily” came to Rescued With Love as part of a RSPCA Qld Inc. case of neglect & cruelty and could only waddle when she first came into care with her foster parents. First thought was her patellas needed doing but after testing by RWL Vet it was found she had a condition called “Cerebellar Hypoplaysia”. Nina Lily’s foster parents, Helen & Fred did an amazing job getting her back to good health & built up her confidence ready for adoption & also had her on Vitamin C and found this to be helping her. I continued the Vitamin C once we adopted little Nina Lily and then read into your product and started her on it also.

After many months on it now, I can honestly say it has most definitely helped her condition, balance and her ability to even happily walk on a lead. Nina is a little Angel who thanks to RWL and your product has a life full of love and good health. When a rescue bubs arrives in my foster care I do start them on your product to help them regain some health and condition as Vitamin C is known to aid in so many illnesses. I have recommended your product to many of my friends with fur bubs and have our senior fur bubs on it daily for their old age aches and pains. Thank you Rosehip Vital for your wonderful product. Warm regards & thanks, Julie & Nina Lily. Xx

I have been giving it to her for quite some time along with the others and they all love it. Vesper Louise my 11 year old has joint issues and is a bit rickety, can now jump up on the lounge chair which she hasn’t done for a long time. And Maisie who has a grade 5 heart murmur is now playing with Whimsy, which has never ever happened before.

I will attach a picture of all. Whimsy is the little White one, Maisie is the adult white one and Vesper is the black one.

We foster Noddy for Jack Russell Rescue. JRR is a big believer that ALL dogs deserve the chance to be rescued, especially the ‘seniors’ As Noddy is a rescue dog, and saved from the pound, we don’t know much of his history. We think he is around 13 years of age. He was named Noddy in the pounds because he slept and slept and slept. We decided to foster him and get him out of the kennels as it is much better for the ‘oldies’ to be in homes. We noticed instantly when he slept he would sleep on his side with his legs straight out and he didn’t curl up in a ball like most jrt’s. We presumed he had some joint issues due to his age.

JRR was kindly donated some Rose-Hip Vital Canine Powder by Dr Katrina for us to try on our seniors and Jill suggested we give it a go on Noddy. We did struggle a bit to mix it in with his food as he really doesn’t eat that much. We contacted you and you responded quickly with some tips and guidance. And it worked. Within the first 3 weeks we noticed a difference. He started curling up in a ball to go to sleep which was very surprising. And then he went on a small holiday with his foster family and started chasing after the birds. Yes Noddy was actually running (no birds were hurt in the making of this email).

I was quite surprised that the Rose-Hip Powder did work. You presume some things are a bit ‘hyped up’ but I was still willing to give it a go. And for Noddy, we can definitely notice the change in him. He is now running and playing like a much younger dog. Thanks guys, it is going ‘great guns’ for Noddy. The other thing I like is – I’ve read all your posts and you always respond. Negative & Positive. You obviously believe 100% in your product, and so you should. I loved that.

Some months ago, she started limping and was obviously in pain. I took her to our vet who diagnosed her with Oesteo Arthritis and commenced laser treatment. She was very slow to respond.

I noticed he had Rose Hip Vital Canine on the shelf. Even though she was on other powders, I commented that maybe she could try it. Within days, there was a significant improvement. Not only with her limping, but her general wellbeing as well.

She now actually initiates play with Ziggy, whereas before she had been very subdued. I am very happy to recommend this product, as it has given the old girl her life back.

Xx

I have 7 littlies, all various ages. My youngest is Whimsy. She had an untreated broken leg when she came to me, and we had a specialist surgery done, where they rebreak it, and set it in a brace for 6 weeks.

Loulou came into our lives 3 years ago. She was 12 years old and had suffered cruelty. It has taken her some time to trust us but she is now very much part of the family with the help of our other rescued and very social dog Ziggy.
